Couch to 5k – week 1, run 1

Warm up: 5 minutes
Run: 60 seconds
Walk: 90 seconds
Repeat 7 times
Cool down: 5 minute walk

Okay so I couldn’t even run for the grand total of 60 seconds – my first run in this program and I couldn’t even do a full minute running!

Feeling very unfit and disappointed. I’ve run since school which is a good 15 years ago so I thought I’d be okay. I was wrong! This is going to take grit. I’m determined though.

Disappointed the app doesn’t tell me to stretch after that run. I did some thigh, groin and calf stretches I found online just to make sure my muscles cool down for a few minutes straight away after finishing.
